On December 5, 1st year students, as part of the course “Constitutional Law”, visited the Constitutional Court of Ukraine with a sightseeing tour.
The students were introduced to the Library, Archives, meeting rooms of the Grand Chamber of the Court, the Senate of the Court, the Press Center, and the museum exposition.
During the sightseeing tour, the students were told about the history of the establishment, powers, organization of activities, international relations of the Court, and the functions of the Secretariat of the Court.

On November 21, at the Department of Intellectual Property and Private Law, as part of the study of the course “Constitutional Law”, an open guest lecture was held by the judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Candidate of Law – Yurovskaya G.V. on the topic “The Constitutional Court of Ukraine is the only court of constitutional jurisdiction”.
During the lecture, the judge spoke about the legal regulation and practice of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
At the end, Ms. Halyna answered questions from those present regarding the independence of judges and the procedure for considering constitutional complaints. In conclusion, the judge of the Constitutional Court gave advice to future lawyers on professional development, concluding her speech with the words: the future of Ukraine is in your hands.

On November 14–15, 2025, the International Conference “Mediation & Universities 2.0” was held. Holovko Olga, Associate Professor of the Department of Intellectual Property and Private Law, and Maksym Yenin, Acting Head of the Department of Sociology of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, together with Ruslana Havrylyuk, a representative of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi University, moderated the panel discussion “Mediation in the Sphere of Justice, Business and Labor”.

The event emphasized the importance of partnership between universities at the national and international levels and contributed to strengthening the culture of resolving disputes through mediation.

The conference is organized with the financial support of the European Union, provided within the framework of the Pravo-Justice project, the CONSENT project and the project “Strengthening Ukraine’s EU accession process in the area of ​​the rule of law – (3E4U)”, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Germany. The conference is implemented by the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation.

During September-November 2025, representatives of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Sociology and Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Intellectual Property and Private Law Olga Holovko and Lecturer of the Department of History Ilona Zhovta, participated in the Global Case Study Challenge virtual exchange program as teachers and trainers of international teams.

Within the framework of the program, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute students developed intercultural communication skills, explored the features of global interaction and business cooperation. Such competencies are important regardless of the specialty, and the participation of students from different faculties demonstrated the interdisciplinary potential of the university.

We thank the international coordinators of the program: Dr. Barbara Covarrubias Venegas, Anna Zinenko and Eithne Knappitsch, who provided methodological support and organizational support for educational teams and students.

The participation of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in the Global Case Study Challenge 2025 once again emphasizes the prospects of integration into the international academic space, strengthening global cooperation and developing competencies necessary for modern specialists. The Faculty of Sociology and Law demonstrates activity, openness and readiness to support students in acquiring skills important for professional growth in a global context.

On November 5, 2025, within the framework of studying the discipline “Problems of Public and Private Law” for master’s students of the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic”, a lesson on mediation and prospects for its application in resolving administrative disputes was held.

The event was conducted by the mediator and associate professor of the Department of Intellectual Property and Private Law of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Olga Holovko. This is the second year in a row that she has shared with students her experience and applied approaches to the use of mediation in the public and legal sphere. We are grateful for the stable partnership with colleagues from Chernihiv Polytechnic.

Конференція «Європейська інтеграція у стратегічному розвитку інтелектуальної власності» 28 жовтня 2025 року успішно відбулася! Заступник декана Факультету соціології і права Юрій Перга влучно відмітив важливість співпраці з ЄС для формування ще більш інноваційних наукових та освітніх програм.

Вступне слово виголосила Любов Майданик, заступниця директора Українського національного офісу інтелектуальної власності та інновацій, голова Апеляційної комісії УКРНОІВІ, яка координує напрям розвитку креативних секторів економіки.

До участі долучилися науковці, медіатори, студенти, аспіранти та всі, хто цікавиться актуальними процесами розвитку аспектів права інтелектуальної власності у контексті євроінтеграції. Дякуємо всім, хто відвідав подію та приймав активну участь в дискусіях!

Окрі цього, у межах конференції відбулася щорічна презентація EUSDIP, під час якої викладачі курсу представили його особливості в розвитку сфери інтелектуальної власності в Україні з урахуванням євроінтеграційних процесів. Навчання стартує вже у листопаді!

18-19 жовтня відбувся захід ELSA Kyiv – III National Family Law Moot Court Competition. Перший день змагань відбувався у стінах КПІ ім. Ігоря Сікорського за підтримки студентської ради Факультету соціології і права. Старший викладач кафедри інтелектуальної власності та приватного права к.ю.н., Голубенко Ірина Ігорівна виступила суддею у відбіркових турах змагань.

Сьогодні завідувачка кафедри  інтелектуальної власності та приватного права Дарія Маріц та доцент кафедри Олександр Владикін провели презентацію ОПП «Інформаційне право та право інтелектуальної власності», для здобувачів  4 курсу спеціальності Право.  Висвітлили особливості вступу до магістратури у 2025 році, процедуру реєстрації та строки фахових випробувань! Відповіли на питання та побажали успішного вступу до магістратури.
